While there are plenty of things to do inside Seaview Park, we’d also encourage you to get out and explore the Isle of Sheppey countryside and everything the local towns and villages have to offer!
Located a little outside of Leysdown is Barton’s Point Coastal Park. Featuring over 40 acres of outstanding natural beauty, a salt-water lake and a section of the Sheppey Cycle Route, Barton’s Point Coastal Park is an ideal location for families and couples. For the adventurous amongst you, they also boast kayaking, kiting and boating facilities and a 9 hole pitch and putt golf course.
The beauty of the Isle of Sheppey’s serene and flat marshlands means that it’s incredibly popular with cyclists, photographers and artists. In addition, a 16 mile cycle trail will take you past various key sites, including Muswell Manor, which is home to the world’s first ever aircraft factory, the Eastchurch Aviation Museum, Blue Town Heritage Centre and the Criterion Music Hall and Cinema both are in Sheerness. In Queenborough, you can visit the remnants of the castle built on the orders of Edward III named in honour of his wife Queen Phillippa.
For other local amenities, you are really spoilt for choice when you stay at Seaview Park. You’ll be within walking distance of a selection of local shops, pubs, restaurants and amusement arcades, plus there are miles and miles of beautiful and unspoilt beaches for you to explore too!
Further afield you can visit the historic city of Canterbury and wander around its amazing Cathedral. Or there is the County town of Maidstone with its river walks and busy shopping centres. Then there is Ashford a major travel hub, with the Mcarthur Glenn outlet shopping centre on its outskirts. All three are a half hour to 45 minute drive from Leysdown.
